Pakistan reports 4,455 coronavirus cases, 68 deaths in 24 hours

Pakistan has so far conducted 16,448,406 coronavirus tests

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan has reported 68 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 1,067,580. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 23,865 on Sunday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 4,455 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.


Province-wise Details


Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 11,194 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 6,189 in Sindh, 4,540 in KP, 814 in Islamabad, 645 in Azad Kashmir, 331 in Balochistan, and 152 in GB.

Furthermore 398,745 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 363,644 in Punjab, 147,973 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 90,503 in Islamabad, 31,138 in Balochistan, 26,874 in Azad Kashmir and 8,703 in Gilgit-Baltistan.


Tests and Recoveries


Pakistan has so far conducted 16,448,406 coronavirus tests and 55,002 in the last 24 hours 961,639 patients have recovered in the country whereas 4,282 patients are in critical condition.
