President stresses need to promote trade, economic, cultural with Iraq
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - President Dr. Arif Alvi has stressed the need to promote trade, economic, cultural and people to people contacts with brotherly country Iraq.
He was talking to Pakistan s Ambassador designate to Iraq Ahmad Amjad Ali who called on him in Islamabad on Monday.
The President asked the Ambassador designate to play its role in promoting trade between the two countries and facilitating Pakistani community in Iraq including pilgrims.
He said air and sea links need to be enhanced besides strengthening defense cooperation between the two countries.
Arif Alvi said the Ambassador designate should work for the promotion of high level exchanges between Pakistan and Iraq.
