Pakistan has reported 77 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar on Wednesday said that total number of coronavirus vaccines administered in Pakistan will cross 10 million mark today.

Asad Umar, in a tweet, said that thankfully people are registering for the vaccine and government is immunizing the population speedily.

The minister also urged the people, who have not yet received their jabs, to register themselves for the vaccine.

On the other hand, Pakistan has reported 77 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 936,131. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 21,453 on Wednesday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 1,118 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths and cases followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 10,397 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 5,164 in Sindh, 4,170 in KP, 766 in Islamabad, 558 in Azad Kashmir, 291 in Balochistan, and 107 in GB.

Furthermore 343,031 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Punjab, 325,110 in Sindh, 134,928 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 81,871 in Islamabad, 25,961 in Balochistan, 19,566 in Azad Kashmir and 5,664 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
