Degrees of 57 lawyers found fake

A barrister was among 57 lawyers whose degrees have been found fake.

The record of these degrees has been presented in the Supreme Court. Two-member SC bench headed by CJP Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry heard the case where ex-president Rawalpindi Bar Malik Waheed Anjum presented the record. A case was filed against 57 lawyers including ex-joint secretary of the bar Shahbaz Ahmed Rajpoot. Malik Waheed informed the court the cases were not filed against those who agreed not to remain in the profession. The apex court has sought the record of the degree of Shahbaz Ahmed Rajpoots from the university. The hearing was adjourned to July 29
