Pakistan's confirmed COVID-19 cases cross 900,000 mark

Pakistan has so far conducted 12,779,296 coronavirus tests

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan has reported 74 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 900,552. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 20,251 on Sunday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 3,084 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.


Province-wise Details


Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths and cases followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 9,768 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 4,909 in Sindh, 3,924 in KP, 745 in Islamabad, 528 in Azad Kashmir, 270 in Balochistan, and 107 in GB.

Furthermore 333,971 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Punjab, 308,118 in Sindh, 129,413 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 80,312 in Islamabad, 24,517 in Balochistan, 18,739 in Azad Kashmir and 5,482 in Gilgit-Baltistan.


Tests and Recoveries


Pakistan has so far conducted 12,779,296 coronavirus tests and 62,061 in the last 24 hours. 817,681 patients have recovered in the country whereas 4,392 patients are in critical condition.
