NAB's executive board gives approval for three references

Justice (r) Javed Iqbal said that NAB has no links with any political party.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chairman Justice (r) Javed Iqbal on Wednesday has chaired a meeting of executive board. 

During the session, the participants have given approval to register three references against former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Board of Revenue member, former Quetta mayor and ex-minister Excise and Taxation Mir Ahmed Memon.

Inquiry against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Captain (r) Safdar has been closed due to insufficient evidence.

On the occasion, NAB chief reiterated that eliminating corruption from the country is ant-graft watchdog’s first priority.
NAB and corruption cannot go side by side, he added.

Justice (r) Javed Iqbal further said that NAB has no links with any political party.
