Passengers' return to hometowns for Eid continues as Punjab delays inter-district transport ban

LAHORE (Dunya News) – The process of passengers’ return to their hometowns for Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations has continued as the ban on inter-district transport service has delayed across the Punjab.

According to details, the commuters can avail the transport service till 6:00pm today (Monday). The people have complained that the transporters, while taking advantage of the situtaion, have raised the fares.

On the other hand, Pakistan Railways has decided to run special passenger trains on a daily basis from Peshawar to Rawalpindi on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

As per Pakistan Railways, the first Eid special train is scheduled to  depart from Peshawar today at 09:00 am which will reach Rawalpindi at 12:30 pm via Nowshera, Jahangir, Attock and Hassan-Abdal.

The same train will depart from Rawalpindi at 02:00 pm on a daily basis for Peshawar till 16th of this month on the same route.
