Govt to restore confidence of nation in election process: PM Imran

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Adviser to the Prime Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Babar Awan briefed PM Imran Khan over the recent inter-ministerial developments on electoral reforms during a telephonic conversation on Sunday, Dunya News reported.
PM Imran said that step would be taken to restore the confidence of the nation in the election process and added that rigging in the election is not an issue of a single party.
He said that in the past, no concrete work has been done to make elections transparent.
Imran Khan said that Pakistan s future depends on democracy and the supremacy of the constitution and added that transparent elections are the foundation of democracy.
Babar Awan briefed PM Imran over the recent inter-ministerial developments on electoral reforms as he noted that consultancy with opposition parties and all stakeholders will be conducted to ensure reforms at any cost.
