Pervaiz Elahi expresses concern over opening of educational institutions in Gujrat
It is not a sane decision to open educational institutions, Pervaiz Elahi said.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi Monday expressed concern over opening of government and private educational institutions in Gujrat despite the increasing cases of coronavirus.
The speaker said in his statement that educational institutions are closed across the country and same restrictions should also be implemented in Gujrat.
Pervaiz Elahi said, “Why can educational institutions not be closed when papers of Cambridge and Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) have been postponed. Parents are protesting over the decision.
“The intensity of COVID-19 is increasing as the provinces had to seek Army’s services to implement the coronavirus standard operating procedures (SOPs), and it is not a sane decision to open educational institutions.
“Who will be held responsible if children are affected?”
