Maryam Nawaz canceled her Karachi visit in wake of COVID-19

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz said that a major group of PTI members of the National and Provincial Assemblies has emerged adding that in fact, the group is much bigger and they are in touch not only with us but also with other parties.

Maryam Nawaz on Saturday cancelled her Karachi visit in connection with NA-249 election, in the wake of COVID-19.

Addressing a presser, Maryam Nawaz said that the decision has been made to protect the lives of public and party workers as coronavirus cases are surging rapidly in the country during the ongoing third wave.

She said that only PML-N has the solution to the problems of Karachi adding that the decision will be in favor of Miftah Ismail in NA-249 election.

PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz said that she was very excited to visit Karachi but the health and lives of the people of NA-249 are more important.

“PML-N wants Karachi s destiny to change, I am in constant touch with Miftah Ismail, I know the problems of the constituency”, said Maryam.

She said that PML-N restored law and order in Karachi, Shehbaz Sharif was defeated by rigging, people have witnessed the performance of those imposed through rigging.

Maryam Nawaz was set to pay a three-day visit to Karachi in connection with NA-249 by-election campaign. She was scheduled to lead a rally from the airport to the city and to address corner meetings.

This was Maryam Nawaz’s first power show in Sindh after Pakistan Democratic Movement’s (PDM) split with the Pakistan People Party (PPP). The PML-N vice-president was also scheduled to meet businessmen and other important people during her visit.
