Pakistan reports 118 deaths from COVID-19, highest since July

Pakistan has so far conducted 10,829,994 coronavirus tests

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan has reported 118 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 729,920. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 15,619 on Tuesday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 4,318 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.


Province-wise Details


Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 7,062 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 4,530 in Sindh, 2,683 in KP, 617 in Islamabad, 407 in Azad Kashmir, 217 in Balochistan, and 103 in GB.

Furthermore 269,474 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 252,974 in Punjab, 100,275 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 66,983 in Islamabad, 20,397 in Balochistan, 14,687 in Azad Kashmir and 5,130 in Gilgit-Baltistan.


Tests and Recoveries


Pakistan has so far conducted 10,829,994 coronavirus tests and 50,520 in the last 24 hours. 638,267 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 4,198 patients are in critical condition.
