Uniform curriculum to be implemented across country: Shafqat

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Shafqat Mehmood said that the ministry of education wants that the educational institutions should remain open.

Shafqat Mehmood said that there is a difference between in-person and online learning and it is a very difficult decision to close educational institutions as there are around 20 million children still out of schools in the country.

The minister said that they tried to keep schools open where things are better but a high level meeting will be held at the NCOC on Wednesday to take a decision regarding opening or further closure of educational institutions.

He further said that that a uniform curriculum will be implemented across the country to improve quality of education and Punjab government has constituted a committee in this regard. 

Earlier, in a tweet, he said that third wave of coronavirus is very serious and health of students and teachers/staff is primary consideration of the government.
