Pakistan reports 64 deaths by coronavirus, 1,361 new cases in one day

Pakistan has so far conducted 8,831,892 coronavirus tests.

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan has reported 64 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 575,941. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 12,772 on Thursday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 1,361 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.


Province-wise Details


Sindh remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad.

Till now 257,089 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 169,474 in Punjab 71,490 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 43,901 in Islamabad, 19,010 in Balochistan, 10,022 in Azad Kashmir and 4,955 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Furthermore 5,308 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 4,315 in Sindh, 2,058 in KP, 494 in Islamabad, 296 in Azad Kashmir, 199 in Balochistan, and 102 in GB.


Tests and Recoveries


Pakistan has so far conducted 8,831,892 coronavirus tests and 40,906 in the last 24 hours. 539,888 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 1,590 patients are in critical condition.
