Daska firing incident: Police arrest suspect nominated in FIR
The security officers have launched interrogation from the suspect.
DASKA (Dunya News) – Police personnel on Sunday have arrested suspect Hamza Butt nominated in First Information Report (FIR) regarding firing on polling station during by-elections in NA-75 Daska.
According to details, the security officers have launched interrogation from the suspect.
It is to be mentioned here that two persons were killed and eight sustained injuries as some unidentified suspects opened fire near five polling stations including Main Bazar and Rangeela Chowk in Daska during NA-75 by-elections.
The dead were identified as Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Majid and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) Zeeshan.
The incident created panic among voters, however, the situation got normal after the arrival of police. A clash also erupted between PTI and PML-N workers at Sohdra polling station in Wazirabad during PP-51 poll.
