Govt issues notification of reduction in passport fee

Fee for normal 72-page passport for ten years will be Rs 8,250

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Federal government has issued a notification of reduction in fee of a 10-year passport after Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed announced the decision a day before.

According to the notification issued by the federal government, the fee for a normal 36-page passport for five years has been fixed at Rs 3,000 and for an urgent at Rs 5,000.

The fee for a normal 72-page passport for five years is Rs 5,500 and for an urgent is Rs 9,000. The fee for a normal 100-page passport for five years will be Rs 6,000 and for an urgent Rs 12,000.

According to the notification, the fee for a normal 36-page passport for ten years has been fixed at Rs 4,500 and for an urgent Rs 7,500.

The fee for a normal 72-page passport for ten years will be Rs 8,250 and for an urgent Rs 13,500.

In addition, the fee for a normal 100-page passport for ten years has been fixed at Rs 9,000 and for an urgent at Rs 18,000.

The prescribed fees will be applicable from February 17. The Directorate General of Immigration and Passport has issued a formal notification of reduction in fees.
