Aerial search finds no trace of missing climbers on K2
SKARDU (Dunya News) - No trace of the missing climbers has been found even on the second day of the aerial search operation.
According to rescue sources, the helicopters flew at an altitude of 7800 meters today. The rescue team tried to find Pakistani climber Muhammad Ali Sadpara and the team but could not find them.
Renowned Nepali Sherpa Chung Dawa and Sajid Sadpara took part in the aerial search operation. After the search operation, Sajid Sadpara was airlifted to Skardu.
It is believed that the missing Pakistani climber Ali Sadpara and two foreign climbers were trying to climb without oxygen in the winter. Muhammad Ali Sadpara first climbed Nanga Parbat in 2016 during a winter expedition.
He also has the honor of conquering eight peaks of 8,000 meters and climbing four peaks of 8,000 meters in one year.
During the campaign to conquer K2 in winter, the famous Pakistani mountaineer Muhammad Ali Sadpara, John Snorri of Iceland and Juan Pablo of Chile have not been able to return after reaching extreme heights.
Ali Sadpara and other climbers have been cut off from the camp since Friday. The mountaineering team was searched by helicopter, but the rescue operation was not successful due to bad weather and strong winds.
Ali Sadpara was accompanied by his son Sajid Sadpara, who arrived safely at Camp One after the oxygen regulator failed.
