PML-N shortlists candidates for Senate elections

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has finalised possible candidates for the upcoming elections for the upper house of the parliament, Dunya News reported on Tuesday.
According to the sources, prominent shortlisted PML-N candidates for Senate elections are Raja Zafarul Haq, Pervaiz Rasheed, Muhammad Zubair and Malik Rafique Rajwana.
According to sources, former Lord Mayor Khawaja Ahmad Ehsan dropped out of the priority list. In Punjab, the PML-N is hoping to win four out of 11 Senate seats, while former Punjab Governor Malik Rafique Rajwana will contest the election on technocrat seat.
Sources also said that out of the two women s seats, the PML-N and the PTI are likely to get one each.
