Dress code issued for government officials on SC orders
LAHORE (Dunya News) - The Punjab government has issued a dress code for government officials on the orders of the Supreme Court.
The guideline says that government officials appearing in courts should dress modestly and wear formal attire. Officers should wear a suit according to the dress code, or at least a pant shirt with all shirt buttons closed.
The Punjab government has directed that officers wearing shalwar kameez must also wear vests. The officers have also been asked to only wear closed shoes.
The Punjab government has issued these guidelines to all its officers. It may be recalled that the Supreme Court had reprimanded DC Lahore Mudassar Riaz Malik for wearing informal attire during a hearing.
