Majority of PML-N members in favour of taking part in Senate elections: Khurram Dastgir

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khurram Dastgir on Tuesday said that the overwhelming majority of PML-N members are in favour of taking part in the Senate elections, Dunya News reported.

Khurram Dastgir said that the final decision in this regard would be taken on January 1, 2021 in the meeting of party heads of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM).

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief and president Pakistan Democratic Alliance (PDM) Maulana Fazlur Rehman has summoned the meeting of the PDM leaders in Lahore on January 1, 2021.

According to PDM spokesperson, the meeting will be held at the residence of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif in Jati Umra in Raiwind near Lahore. He said that the current political situation in the country will be discussed during the meeting.

The meeting will also discuss the proposed long march again the PTI government and date for submission of resignations of members of the National and Provincial Assemblies belonging to opposition parties.
