KARACHI (Dunya News) – Following the relaxation in travel restrictions, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) on Sunday announced to start flight operations to Saudi Arabia.

According to PIA officials, the national airline (PIA) will operate flights for Pakistanis stranded abroad after a unilateral permit.

The PIA spokesman said that the Saudi government has only given unilateral permission due to coronavirus and on the instructions of PIA CEO, the national carrier will start flight operation from Monday.

The statement further stated that due to unilateral operation, PIA would bear a financial burden, but the return of compatriots was also inevitable. PIA CEO Arshad Malik while instructing all the departments said that attractive and reasonable cargo rates should be fixed.
