PDM now shying away from resignations: PM Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that those who were flaunting their resignations are now shying away from submitting them.

The PM expressed these views during a meeting of government and party spokespersons. The meeting deliberated upon the current political situation and discussed the way forward.

Article 23 of the Charter of Democracy was also discussed at the meeting. The participants stated that according to the COD signed by PML-N and PPP, both parties agreed on holding Senate elections via open ballot but now, they have backtracked on their vow.

The meeting was briefed on the ongoing operation against land mafias. The Prime Minister, while announcing to continue operations against them, said that PML-N MNAs have deep roots in the land grabbing mafias.

Talking about PDM, the Prime Minister said that their internal differences are enough to end the movement. Those who handed in their resignations no longer want to resign.

The Prime Minister reiterated that no one can escape accountability, he himself presented evidence in court. PDM head and JUI-F Maulana Fazlur Rehman is not appearing in NAB because he has no answer, the PM said.
