Politicians who chose path of corruption in past faced life filled with humiliation: PM Imran
PM Imran said that children of corrupt leaders are telling lies to protect their fathers.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Wednesday has said that politicians who chose the path of corruption faced a life filled with humiliation and also pushed the country into debt trap.
Addressing a ceremony of police passing out parade at Police Lines in Islamabad, the premier said that children of corrupt leaders are telling lies to protect their fathers. Looted money will never help them, he added.
The prime minister further said that police have a pivotal role in uplift of the country by creating sense of security among its citizens. A peaceful environment builds trust of investors to make investments, he stated.
Imran Khan said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has changed traditional police culture and now, people give the security officers respect.
He further announced health card facility for the police personnel in Islamabad.
The prime minister said the government has secured a major achievement on economic front by turning the country’s current account deficit in surplus for fifth consecutive month after seventeen years.
Government has been pursuing the policy controlling expenditures in view of the country’s debt for which, the expenses of the PM House have also been reduced by 60 percent, he told.
