Atta-ur-Rehman accuses Maulana Sherani of having ties with state institutions
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Maulana Ata-ur-Rehman, one of the central leaders of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F), has said that Maulana Sherani’s recent statements show that he has strong ties with state institutions.
Maulana Atta-ur-Rehman claimed that the shura of JUI-F had formed a committee because of the Maulana Muhammad Khan Sherani’s behavior but he has shown his true colors by himself.
Speaking to Dunya News program "Nuqta-e-Nazar", he said that he respects Maulana Sherani on a personal level as he is one of the ideological leaders of the party. He himself used to preach that discussions should be kept within the party but now he is moving towards open revolt.
He said the party’s constitution clearly states that it will not recognize Israel. Maulana Sherani’s fate will be decided in the meeting of the party’s Executive Council and we will accept the decision that it takes.
