PM Imran to preside over federal cabinet meeting today

The federal cabinet will discuss an 11-point agenda during the meeting.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The federal cabinet will meet today (Tuesday) in Islamabad to discuss the country’s economic and political situation, Dunya News reported.

Prime Minister Imran Khan will preside over the federal cabinet meeting to be held at the Prime Minister’s office. The cabinet will discuss an 11-point agenda during the meeting.

According to sources, Finance Ministry will brief the cabinet meeting on on resources and provision of funds by federation to the provinces while survey in respect of kafalat programme and corona relief fund is also part of agenda.

The cabinet will also review the he matter of restructuring of board of trustees of Employees Old Age Benefit Institution while the committee constituted to probe into use of metropolitan club in F-9 Park will present its report in the meeting.

The cabinet will also give approval to the appointment of CEO of Ignite, a subsidiary of Ministry of IT. The cabinet will also approve the appointment of permanent MDs of Sui Northern and Sui Southern companies, CEOs of power distribution companies, members of board of directors of Public Private Partnership Authority and appointment of community welfare attaches in Pakistan missions abroad.

Sources said that the cabinet will also discuss in detail the protests and long march by the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) and also chalk out a strategy to deal with the opposition protests.
