Resolution condemning arrests of PML-N leaders submitted in Punjab Assembly
Immediate notice of the undemocratic tactics of the government should be taken: resolution
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) MPA Hina Pervez Butt has filed a resolution in the Punjab Assembly condemning the raids and arrests the party leaders.
According to the resolution, the puppet government is afraid of the peaceful movement of the opposition parties and raids and arrests are being made on the orders of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
The resolution further said that the incumbent government is wearing the cloak of dictatorship under the guise of democracy.
The resolution also demanded notice of the undemocratic tactics of the government and that the court orders the police and the administration to immediately stop the arrests of the PML-N leaders and workers.
On the other hand, Chief Minister of Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has said that situation of coronavirus pandemic is getting serious and government cannot allow public rallies under such circumstances.
Usman Buzdar, while talking to media, said that Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) should stop playing with the lives of the people as it is irresponsible to hold rallies amidst a pandemic.
He also warned that action against PDM will be taken according to the law for holding Lahore rally. Nowhere in the world any political party is holding public rallies, he added.
