Establishment protecting fake government: Fazlur Rehman
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has once again accused the establishment of backing the government and said that it has become fake government’s protector.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, he said that the country has no democracy but dictatorship. This government was not recognized as the representative of the people.
While talking about the PDM rally in Lahore he reiterated that rally will be held at any case, if the government blocks one way, we will make another. He said that despite all the rumors, all the parties are on the same page and the stage of resignations from assemblies will follow soon.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that these people are stooge of dictatorship. On the one hand they said that government will not stop the rally, on the other hand Punjab government has watered the ground of Minar-e-Pakistan. However, we have decided that the Minar-e-Pakistan rally will be held at any cost. We have already announced our decisions only yesterday. December 13 will be the historic day of Lahore, he added.
He said that the schedule of rallies, wheel jam and long march towards Islamabad would be announced in the steering committee meeting. In all these stages, resignations will be mentioned. The PDM chief said that he had invited Bilawal Bhutto and Maryam Nawaz today.
Talking on the occasion, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that we have all set out to send Imran Khan and his facilitators home. We are all on the same page and on the same stage. PPP politics started from the streets.
Replying to a question, Bilawal Bhutto said that if Senate elections were held through assemblies, it would be fake. We are also consulting constitutional experts. Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan will also be consulted in this regard, he added.
Bilawal Bhutto said we have already said that we will hold rallies and also told about the resignations. Opposition is ready to use every option to send the government packing.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz Sharif also spoke to the media on the occasion and said that government is putting its name plates on the projects started by Nawaz Sharif; government has not put a brick yet.
She said that resignations would be submitted to the party leadership. She assured that the rally at Minar-e-Pakistan would be held in full capacity.
