Upping the ante: PML-N lawmakers hand in resignations to party leadership
Party has not asked lawmakers to hand in their resignations: Uzma Bukhari
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Several senior leaders of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) have started to hand over their resignations from the assemblies to the leadership of the party.
As per details, Member of National Assembly (MNA) Malik Afzal Khokar and Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) Saiful Malook Khokhar have submitted their resignation while MPA Rana Munawar Ghous from Sargodha has already submitted his to the leadership.
PML-N leader Uzma Bukhari has said that the party has not asked lawmakers to hand in their resignation but the party leaders are submitting them on their own.
On the other hand, the leadership of the 11-party opposition alliance, Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), will meet in Islamabad today (Tuesday) to devise strategy for second phase of anti-government movement.
Resignations from the assemblies by PDM lawmakers will also discussed in the meeting.
