Faisalabad: 2500 booked for violating COVID-19 SOPs in PML-N workers' convention

FAISALABAD (Dunya News) – A case against 2500 people on Sunday has been registered for violating coronavirus standard operating procedures (SOPs) during Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) workers’ convention.

According to details, the case was lodged at Sargodha Police Station. PML-N leaders Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Ahsan Iqbal, Rana Sanaullah, Awais Leghari and others had participated in the convention.  

On the other hand, Pakistan has reported 58 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 416,499. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 8,361.

Till now 182,473 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 122,955 in Punjab, 49,220 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 32,414 in Islamabad, 17,440 in Balochistan, 7,278 in Azad Kashmir and 4,719 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Furthermore 3,162 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 3,011 in Sindh, 1,404 in KP, 340 in Islamabad, 177 in Azad Kashmir, 169 in Balochistan, and 98 in GB.

Pakistan has so far conducted 5,754,986 coronavirus tests and 41,645 in the last 24 hours. 355,012 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 2,436 patients are in critical condition.
