IHC approves pre-arrest bail of Nadeem Mandviwalla in fake accounts case
Nadeem Mandviwalla and Tariq had approached the court seeking pre-arrest bail.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday has barred the concerned department from arresting Senate Deputy Chairman Saleem Mandviwalla’s brother Nadeem Mandviwalla and alleged benami Tariq Mahmood.
According to details, Nadeem Mandviwalla and Tariq had approached the court seeking pre-arrest bail in the case which was accepted over surety bonds of Rs0.5 million each.
Subsequently, the court has issued notice to National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and sought reply in this regard.
Earlier, NAB had nominated Saleem Mandviwalla in fake accounts case.
3.1 million shares of Saleem Mandviwala which were registered with Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) were also frozen afterwards.
According to the anti-graft watchdog, the deputy chairman had allegedly purchased ‘benami’ shares in the name of his employee Tariq Mahmood.
