Inquiry committee prepares report over Capt Safdar's arrest, Sindh IG incident

The inquiry committee has mentioned the role of PTI leaders in Captain Safdar's arrest.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – A five-member committee of Sindh ministers has prepared inquiry report pertaining to Captain (retd) Muhammad Safdar’s arrest and Sindh IG incident. The committee will sign the report in an important meeting scheduled on Saturday (today).

Sources privy to the matter have informed that raid at hotel and Muhammad Safdar’s arrest have been declared as extralegal and the case that was lodged against him is termed as misuse of authority.

The inquiry committee also mentioned the role of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders and other important factors in the incident while documents and pictorial evidences have also been made part of the report.

The decision whether to make the report public will be made on the forum of the Sindh cabinet. The inquiry committee was formed on October 22 and was tasked to complete the investigation within one month.
