Country will not progress just by selling yarn, mangoes: PM Imran
FAISALABAD (Dunya News) - Prime Minister Imran Khan has urged investors and traders to find new sectors and said that the country will not develop just by selling yarn and mangoes.
The Prime Minister said this while talking to media in Faisalabad. He said that running industries would increase employment and increase income.
He said that Pakistani industrialists were getting expensive electricity as compare to India and Bangladesh. The government is providing electricity at half price by eliminating peak hours for the industry.
Imran Khan said that previous governments did not pay any attention to industries. Inspite of difficult circumstances, industries are being given incentives. Promoting industries will also help in repaying loans.
He said that he came up with a comprehensive package for the textile industry. Our goal is to get other industries back on their feet.
On this occasion, a journalist asked what will be the future economic plans of the government, replying to this, the Prime Minister said that money is made from industries, if the industry flourishes then the country will move forward..
