Ban on rallies not acceptable under guise of Coronavirus: Fazlur Rahman

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rahman, while announcing to intensify the protest movement against the government, said that our rallies will be held as scheduled, opposition will not accept the ban on rallies under the guise of coronavirus.

Maulana Fazlur Rahman while talking to media in Islamabad said that a summit of Pakistan Democratic Movement was held today in which Bilawal Bhutto and Akhtar Mengal participated through video link. In the meeting, we formulated the basic principles and objectives of the anti-government movement.

Informing the media about the decisions taken in the meeting, the PDM chief said that we have rejected the Gilgit-Baltistan elections results. We want the supremacy of the parliament. The state machinery was used in the Gilgit-Baltistan elections.

Maulana Fazlur Rahman said that we will send the selected government packing at any cost. Revenge is being taken by setting up false cases.

He said that the former FBR chairman Shabbar Zaidi s confession is an FIR against the government. When Shabbar Zaidi presented the list of corrupt people, Imran Khan said leave it aside.

When asked about Senate reforms, he said, "These people are accustomed to rigging. How can they be stopped". We will not explain the procedure yet. There will be no talks with the government. Some points will be considered at the next meeting.

The PDM chief said that the PDM had rejected the results of Gilgit-Baltistan. This was a replay of the 2018 rigging. State machinery and institutions were used indiscriminately.
