QUETTA (Dunya News) – Balochistan government spokesperson Liaquat Shahwani Tuesday said coronavirus cases increased three times in the province after Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) rally in Quetta.

Liaquat Shahwani held a news conference in Quetta and said health of people is more important to us than politics. The second wave of COVID-19 was discussed during the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) meeting on Monday, he said.

“Ratio of coronavirus cases was 2.1 in Balochistan before PDM rally and has now surged to 6.2. Balochistan government’s priority is to not close educational institutions. Final decision will be made on November 23,” Liaquat Shahwani said.
