GB polls: Marriyum expresses concern over postal ballot papers, demands ECP's action
Over one thousand 'fake' postal ballot papers are proof of election rigging, Marriyum said.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Marriyum Aurangzeb on Friday has expressed concerns over possible rigging in Gilgit-Baltistan elections that will be conducted on November 15.
In a statement, the PML-N spokesperson has demanded the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to take notice. Over one thousand ‘fake’ postal ballot papers are proof of election rigging, she told.
Marriyum Aurangzeb further said that 1791 postal ballot papers have been issued on the name of 700 government employees.
While reacting to Marriyum Aurangzeb’s reservations, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Political Communication Dr. Shahbaz Gill said that he was expecting rigging claims from PML-N side.
Those who have narrative against institutions have been rejected by the nation, he added.
