Will not back down from basic principles at any cost: PML-N
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has decided that it will not back down from its basic principles at any cost. The campaign against Sardar Ayaz Sadiq is a failed attempt to divert the attention of the people from the real issues. PML-N will play its role with more force from the PDM’s platform.
According to details, a high-level meeting of PML-N was held in which the overall situation of the country and future strategies were discussed.
Former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Party Secretary General Ahsan Iqbal, Former Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Senator Pervaiz Rashid, Rana Sanaullah Khan, Khawaja Saad Rafique, Engineer Khurram Dastgir, Maryam Aurangzeb, Javed Latif, The party’s deputy secretary general Ataullah Tarar and other leaders attended the meeting.
The meeting reviewed the overall situation in the country. Expressing concern over rising inflation, unemployment, economic collapse and foreign policy failures in the country, the internal and external situation of the country was reviewed in detail.
Expressing satisfaction over the successful rallies of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) in Gujranwala, Karachi and Quetta, it was said that the people are showing enthusiasm and participating in the rallies in the political struggle of PDM.
The meeting strongly condemned the negative publicity campaign against former Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and said that despite the issuance of explanations, such tactics were in fact to distract the attention of the people from inflation, unemployment and destruction of economy, and was a failed attempt to cover up the worst inefficiency and government’s corruption on all fronts, including foreign policy.
The meeting decided that in the next phase, the people and workers will be mobilized to make the PDM meetings in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa a complete success.
PML-N members said that their party was playing a historic role against vote theft from the PDM and party platforms and for the constitutional, legal, democratic and economic rights of the people. And it will play an even stronger role in the future and will not back down from its core mission at any cost.
The meeting strongly condemned the Prime Minister’s threat to the IG prisons not to provide legal facilities to the party president and Leader of the Opposition Shehbaz Sharif and Leader of the Opposition in the Punjab Assembly Hamza Shahbaz in jail and said his illegal actions cannot save his swaying power.
The meeting paid homage to the sacrifices made by Shehbaz Sharif and Hamza Shahbaz Sharif for the constitution, law, democracy, party ideology and the spirit of fighting for political revenge.
The meeting also appreciated the spirit of the party leaders and workers that they are standing in the field with full determination and courage under the leadership of Quaid Muhammad Nawaz Sharif. The meeting also discussed the party’s future programs, political activities and political struggle.
