Asad Umar expresses worry over increased coronavirus mortality rate in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar on Tuesday has told that coronavirus mortality rate has been increased in Pakistan by 140 percent in few weeks.
The minister took to social-networking website Twitter and posted, “We are collectively committing a blunder by recklessly ignoring all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and the results have started to show.”
“If we do not change our current path we will lose both lives and livelihoods,” he added.

On the other hand, Pakistan has reported 14 deaths in last 24 hours by novel coronavirus today as the number of positive cases has surged to 324,084. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 6,673.
