Accused should spend energies on defense instead of criticizing NAB: Chairman NAB
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal has said that efforts are being made to bring the corrupt elements to a logical conclusion in accordance with the law. Instead of criticizing the NAB, the accused should devote their energies to defending the references filed in the courts.
A statement issued by the NAB said that Chairman Javed Iqbal listened to public complaints of corruption, money laundering and abuse of power and directed to take action against them.
The statement said the NAB had received more complaints this year than last. Chairman NAB said that double complaints this year as compared to last year is a sign of public confidence in NAB.
He said that efforts were being made to bring the corrupt elements to a logical conclusion in accordance with the law. Instead of criticizing the NAB, the accused should devote their energies to defending the references filed in the courts.
The NAB chairman said that the courts were hearing references of millions and billions against these accused. The destination of the National Accountability Bureau is Corruption Free Pakistan.
