Accused Abid Malhi arrested through scientific investigation: Police
Lahore police spokesperson said that CIA played crucial role in arrest of Abid Malhi.
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Lahore police spokesperson on Monday said that the prime suspect involved in Motorway rape, Abid Malhi, was arrested through scientific investigation, Dunya News reported.
The spokesperson said that police carried out raids in different cities to arrest Abid Malhi and added that reports were submitted to Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar on daily basis.
The spokesperson further informed that Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) played crucial role in arrest of Abid Malhi.
On the other hand, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar on Monday said that the arrest of Abid Malhi, prime suspect in Motorway rape case, is a clear message that there is no room for criminal elements in Punjab.
The Punjab Chief Minister expressed satisfaction over the police efforts in arrest of Abid Malhi. In his message, CM Buzdar said that he would fulfil his promise to provide justice to the victim.
