PM Imran orders action against overcharging at motorway rest areas
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan has taken notice of overpricing of food items at rest areas along motorways and directed the National Highway Authority (NHA) and the motorway police chief to take action against profiteers.
Following a number of complaints on Pakistan Citizen’s Portal, PM Office has ordered formation of dedicated teams by the NHA to check overpricing by carrying out surprise inspections at different timings on a regular basis.
The Office also directed the authorities to seek assistance, if required, from the district administration.
The prime minister also directed that banners encouraging people to lodge complaints on the Citizen’s Portal be also put up at visible places of the rest areas.
