Nawaz Sharif wants discord between state institutions: Fawad Chaudhry

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry has said that Nawaz Sharif wants to develop rifts between state institutions. He said the former prime minister spoke not for the country, but for protecting his own family’s business.

Reacting to Nawaz Sharif’s speech, Fawad Chaudhry said that Nawaz made a comical claim that he kept the dollar rate at Rs 100, but failed to mention that this move cost the country Rs 23 billion. Nawaz Sharif had eroded the country’s economy by the time he left, Fawad added.

He said that Nawaz Sharif’s only goal is to create division among the institutions, he wants institutions to fight among themselves so his own corruption can be covered up.

The Federal Minister said that Nawaz Sharif knows everything on the face of the earth, except how he created 32 companies and flats in the name of his children. Unlike Nawaz, Imran Khan presented a 40-year-old money trail to justify his assets, he added.

He slammed the PML-N leader, saying that all he wants is to blackmail state institutions, he has no ideology or principles. He said that Nawaz Sharif recited the oath of the army in his speech but he should have also recited his own oath which forbids conspiring against the state.

He challenged Nawaz that once he is brought back to Pakistan, he should make the same speech in court.
