ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (Fazl) (JUI-F) Maulana Fazlur Rehman would be summoned to appear in National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to narrate his side of the story about alleged corruption charges against him in assets beyond means inquiry case as required by law, said a NAB spokesman.

Clarifying some media reports about Maulana Fazlur Rehman s case, the spokesman said the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa bureau was continuing inquiry against Maulana Fazlur Rehman right now.

Earlier, NAB had asked JUI-F chief to appear before additional director of NAB Peshawar on October 1 to answer allegations that he owned assets beyond known sources of income.

On the other hand, NAB has summoned Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Amir Muqam to appear at its Peshawar office today (Wednesday) in a case pertaining to accumulation of assets beyond his known sources of income.

The anti-graft watchdog has issued summons to Amir Muqam to appear before a joint investigation team in a case related to amassing assets beyond his sources of income.

NAB has also summoned Capt (retd) Safdar, husband of PML-N vice-president Maryam Nawaz, on October 8 at its Peshawar office in a case pertaining to assets beyond means.
