FIA arrests five persons involved in Hawala, Hundi transfers
FIA seized a huge quantity of money including foreign currency during the raid.
KARACHI (Dunya News) - The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Wednesday arrested five persons involved in involved in the Hawala, Hundi (illegal money transfer) business and seized a huge quantity of money including foreign currency, Dunya News reported.
According to details, FIA raided four offices of an exchange company located at Burns Road, II Chandragar Road, Clifton and Gulshan-e-Iqbal and recovered record of over Rs 90 million transferred through Hawala, Hundi.
The FIA arrested five persons including owner of the exchange company and his son during the raid.
According to Director FIA Sindh Munir Sheikh, US dollars, euros, pounds, Canadian dollars, dirham, Thai and Pakistani currencies were found during the raids.
