Sh Rashid launches book 'From Lal Haveli to the United Nations' in Lahore

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Senior politician and Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid Ahmed s book "From Lal Haveli to the United Nations" was unveiled at a local hotel in Lahore.

According to details, the launch of the book "From Lal Haveli to the United Nations" by senior politician and Railway Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed was held in Lahore. Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar was the chief guest at the function.

The event was attended by personalities from all walks of life, including ministers, assembly members, bureaucrats and journalists. Sheikh Rashid presented the book to the Governor of Punjab.

Addressing the function, Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar termed Sheikh Rashid as a seasoned and resourceful politician. He said that if Sheikh Rashid makes predictions then something will definitely happen.

The author of the book Sheikh Rashid Ahmed in his speech not only refreshed the memories of the past but also spoke about the politics of the future. He said that Pakistan would develop under the leadership of Imran Khan.

Explaining the reason for launching the book on September 6, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said that today is Defense Day and my mother s anniversary. He said that Pakistan Army reaches every front for the nation.

Addressing the function, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Shahbaz Gill said that in order to test Sheikh Rashid, one has to examine his different political periods.

Senator Waleed Iqbal gave interesting quotations from various excerpts of the book.

Provincial Minister Raja Basharat called Sheikh Rashid the pride of his city Rawalpindi. Mian Mehmood ur Rashid said that Sheikh Rashid s style of speech and eloquence was a role model for us.

Senior journalist Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Shami said that whether one denies or agrees, it cannot be denied that Sheikh Rashid played an important role in Pakistani politics.

Senior journalists Sohail Warraich, Arif Nizami, Saleem Bukhari and Salman Ghani also gave their impressions about Sheikh Rashid Ahmed and his authorship.
