K-Electric requests NEPRA to increase electricity price by Rs 1.54 per unit
The hearing will be conducted by NEPRA on September 16.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – The K-Electric has forwarded an application to the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) to increase the electricity price by Rs 1.54 per unit and the hearing will be conducted on September 16.
The petition requested the surge under the mid-term review of the multi-year tariff, sought permission of Rs 143.86 billion investment and to increase its profit rate from 17.05 percent to 41.94 percent.
65 paisa per unit hike has been requested by the K-Electric under working capital, 10 paisa under loan cost review, 29 paisa under growth and 50 paisa under normal working capital.
It is pertinent here to mention that the electricity price of Rs 1.90 per unit had earlier been increased for the K-Electric consumers.
