PM orders to keep women with minor crimes in prisons near homes
Imran Khan has also taken notice of plight of women in jails.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan has on Thursday issued important directives regarding helpless women in jails and ordered to keep the female inmates with minor crimes in prisons which are near their homes.
The premier has instructed Federal Minister for Human Rights Shireen Mazari to hold consultations with the attorney general in this regard. Protection of human rights is the foremost priority of this government, he said.
Imran Khan maintained that civilized societies are recognized by ensuring protection of human rights. The PM has also taken notice of the plight of women in jails and decided to improve their condition.
