ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry has said that former Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif is a fugitive, he needs to return the looted money through plea bargain or bear his punishment.
Speaking on Dunya News program "On the Front", he said that Nawaz Sharif is accused of corruption and PML-N has a moral responsibility to also ask Nawaz to return to Pakistan.
He said that the decision to send Nawaz Sharif out was taken by the cabinet which was a mistake as medical reports can be easily manipulated in Pakistan. Nawaz Sharif’s laboratory test reports, based on which the medical board made its decision, are fraudulent, he added.
Fawad Chaudhry said that the real problem was caused by the laboratory as it was in cahoots with Nawaz and produced a fake blood report. He said that he had opined in the Cabinet that Nawaz will con the government to escape Pakistan, as he and his party always do.
The Federal Minister said that PTI has nothing personal with Nawaz Sharif, but serious allegations have been proven against him, he must pay for his corruption.
Fawad Chaudhry said that it seemed from the reports that Nawaz Sharif was very ill but he had asked the cabinet to treat him as any other prisoner.
