Two years of PTI: Govt fails to fulfill promise of countrywide uniform education system
The education ministry has conducted 15 interprovincial conferences in 2019 and 18 in 2020.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Despite being in the government for two years, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has failed to fulfill its promise to enforce uniform education system across the country as the Federal Minister Shafqat Mahmood has extended the time from March 2020 to April 2021.
During this two-year tenure, the education ministry has conducted 15 inter-provincial conferences in 2019 and 18 in 2020.
The federal minister has said that education curriculum has been designed for classes one to five, however, course of study for classes sixth to eighth and ninth to intermediate will be prepared in 2020 and 2023 respectively.
The experts said that important task for PTI government is to end dual education system as no growth can be brought to this field without resolving this matter.

The religious leaders have expressed their agreement to include seminaries into national mainstream but no work has been done for improvement in education system of madrasas so far.
The federal government has also taken steps to admit two crore students to the schools to enhance literacy rate of Pakistan. However, only 12,000 children from Islamabad have been enrolled into schools until now.
