Coronavirus kills 6 Pakistanis, infects 670 in one day

Pakistan has so far conducted 2,277,153 coronavirus tests

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan has reported 6 deaths in last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 288,717. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 6,168, Dunya News reported on Sunday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 670 persons have been tested positive for COVID-19 in 24 hours.


Province-wise Details


Sindh remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad.

Till now 125,904 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 95,391 in Punjab, 35,153 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 15,378 in Islamabad, 12,224 in Balochistan, 2,181 in Azad Kashmir and 2,486 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Furthermore 2,317 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Sindh, 2,182 in Punjab, 1,238 in KP, 138 in Balochistan, 173 in Islamabad, 60 in GB and 60 in Azad Kashmir.


Tests and Recoveries


Pakistan has so far conducted 2,277,153 coronavirus tests and 24,022 in last 24 hours. 266,301 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 769 patients are in critical condition.
