Pakistan's economy is on road to recovery: Sheikh Rashid

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Saturday said that Chief Minister of Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar is not going anywhere and he enjoys full support of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Sheikh Rashid, while talking to media persons, criticized opposition and said that opposition only wants NRO and they demand to abolish National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to get rid of corruption cases against them.

The minister further said that vans from Islamabad were rented to participate in procession of Maryam Nawaz’s hearing before NAB. He added that condition of Nawaz Sharif due to his daughter is in front of everyone. He also claimed that case of Hamza Shehbaz Sharif is very serious.

While talking about economic situation of the country, Railways minister said that economy is on road to recovery as stock exchange and industry are showing progress.

He also lauded Prime Minister Imran Khan’s coronavirus response and said that government’s strategy of smart lockdown proved successful. On the other hand, India is reporting over 60,000 daily coronavirus cases, he added.

Railways minister also announced that 10 more trains will start running from August 17. While talking about ML-1 project, he said that high level official from China is expected to attend the historic inauguration of the project. ML-1 project, credit of which goes to Prime Minister Imran Khan, is game changer for Pakistan, he added.
