NAB launches corruption probe against Islamabad Mayor Ansar Aziz

NAB has taken action against Ansar Aziz over alleged corruption of Rs 50 billion.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has launched a corruption probe against Islamabad Mayor Sheikh Ansar Aziz, Dunya News reported on Thursday.

The anti-corruption watchdog has taken the action over alleged corruption of Rs 50 billion in mobile tower taxes and billboards.

The NAB received complaints that Ansar Aziz caused losses of billions of rupees to the Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) and the government through illegal towers.
